Bismillah
At least I have the same thought as they are about Sudan.(click here)Do you know where Sudan is?
Do you know what happen there right know?
If you know nothing about it and you are a muslim, you should ashamed of yourself.
If you know about it, what is your opinion about it?
Are you sure your opinion is correct?
I have some opinion about it.

I believe in people's right of self determination.
If them nonmuslims don't want to live under islamic rule, so be it.

What human need is all different.
That is what social science has told us all these years.
Majority of south sudanese are nonmuslims, majority of northerners are muslims- the Christians want a Christian country in their Christian-majority area, why is it inappropriate?
Islam is for all, but it does not impose.
Even historically, south of Sudan was never Islamic. It was and still is the land of indigenous people with shamanistic customs, until Christianity comes along.
The separation is inevitable.
For me, South of sudan is just like Patani- they are under a nation that is not well-tuned to their self- identity.
Nevertheless, i do see your arguments. For that, in the spirit of intellectuality and brotherhood, let us agree to disagree. salam. : )
Wankhai.
