Dark

While i'm still a kid, i used to be afraid of a dark places. But it's normal wasnt it? Lot of stories being told about how scary dark places is. Sometimes there will be a white figure appear in front of you and sometimes some scary thing will creeps coming to you. Scary wasn't it?

Even without those stories, i still think the feeling will still be there. Even after this many years and i know all the stories are made up to scare children, i still got some lingering feelings when i have to go to a dark place alone. But ego as a man always help me facing those situation.

From all of this, it make me thinking what is actually I am afraid of? Is it the darkness or something else? Or is it just feeling of being alone that afraid me?

I will never know for certain. I only know the feeling is there which make me think that this feeling is a nature for me and maybe a nature for human being. Which bring me to think that perhaps what i really afraid of is not the darkness but the unknown is what scared me.

You will never know what hiding in the darkness. It might be a dangerous animal, a poisonous insect, a ghost, a criminal or maybe nothing in there.

And god, in my case Allah knows well our nature. Well He is the one that created us afterall. Allah stated that in rukun iman that we have to believe to the unknown thing (perkara ghaib) . The idea is that we will afraid to the unknown and result in us obey to Allah.

However, even the idea sound so beautiful and practical there are lot of people still not afraid of Allah. They still not afraid commit sin even though hell and heaven is the unknown thing that by nature we afraid of. Even angels are always following us around every moment and we really don't know about them but crime are still everyday.

What happen?

Human should be afraid of the unknown by nature.

It still unknown for human about their ending. Either heaven or hell.

It still unknown for human WHEN they are will die.

It really puzzling me what really occur in other people that did not afraid of the BIGGEST unknown in their life. Instead they really afraid about insignificant matter like who will they married to or what kind of job they will get after they graduate.

It's not like i'm not thinking about the same thing but to think about insignificant stoff until forgetting much more important stuff is not making sense at all!!

Fair enough. They might have their own problem or they are just being ignorance.

Note to myself;
Never told a ghost stories to my children instead told a story about the REAL BIG unknown to them.

We Are a Muslim Please

Just finished reading this book and it is absolutely amazing. How the writer bring up the issue of identity conflict between British, Muslim and Pakistani. I've read a lot about this conflict but she's the one that really bring the full understanding in me.

Well maybe I can say it's not really practical for us who are Malay Muslim in Malaysia but it really help us in having understanding about what is racist really meant which is vital for every Malaysian in Malaysia. Maybe a little bit of exaggeration here because you cant really got the full idea just by reading only one book but you will have the idea on how it feel living in others country and the dilemma that they have.

This book will be the next on my definitely-will-be-buying-but-God-knows-when-will-be-readed list.hahaha

Dilemma Malaysia

Bismillah,

Well, I'm back in Malaysia. Hot-and-lots-of-mosquitoes Malaysia.

The upside of this time in Malaysia is my niece is staying at my house since her mother who is my sister still recovering from giving birth to my cousin. Yes, the one that I know a week after he was borned.=_="

Anyway, this is happening yesterday;

Niece : Paman nak pergi mane? (well I am javanese if you guys havent realised it yet)
me : Pergi masjid
Niece : Amia nak ikut?
me : Pergi tanya mama
Niece : Mama, Amia nak ikut pergi masjid
Mama: tak buleh, Amia duduk rumah je.
me : Esok paman bawak Amia eh?

I dont intend to lie to her when I said those line to her but after thoroughly thinking about it, I might have to break my saying to her.

Well, if you guys didnt know, lot of masjid in Malaysia are adopting unfriendly system towards kids. The kids have to be at different saff(line) from the adults. Sometimes there are mosques even put a signboard to limit the kids from entering the so-called adults zone. I remember last year I attend one of the talk in one mosque near with my house and the imam strongly said that it is not allowed for kids to be at same saff with the adults. It will break the saff. I regret myself until this moment for not having balls to argue with him last year.

This rule actually the culprit that makes the kids playing around and making noises while the adults are praying. Once the imam have started the prayer, the kids will go playing and when it about to finish, all the kids quickly get back to the saff and do tahiyat akhir. You guys remember about this right? This is what we use to do after all.

Baginda bersembahyang mengimami kami sebanyak dua rakaat.”
-diriwayatkan oleh Imam al-Bukhari (nombor 822)-

That should be enough to state my point. With that, I end my rambling.

p/s : ape la aku nak cakap malam ni dekat niece aku nih. adoyai~

Bersih 2.0 = trafic jam?

Bismillah,

Hangat sungguh 2-3 hari ini dengan traffic jam dekat Kuala Lumpur. Oh, unnecessary traffic jam to be precise. There have been uproar before this about Bersih 2.0 will make Kuala Lumpur congested but I think all of us can see what exactly bring the traffic jam.

Living in UK for almost 2 years and have travel quite a lot (inside UK of course), I have to say I'm impressed with the local police methods to control the behaviour of the driver. Tak pernah pulak nampak ada roadblock dekat UK ni but still people getting their ticket for violating the law.

I completely understand is some murderer is escaping and police have to make roadblock to catch them but sometimes (like right now), roadblock in the peak period at Kuala Lumpur? You got to be kidding me.

Sometimes I hoping that Police department can act separately with the government so that their act will be solely about justice but who am I try to kid right now, peoples love to have power. They crave about power and having police department in their side is just the right thing to have to fulfill their lust.

But living is about hoping. We hope, pray and work for it. InsyaAllah Malaysia will be free.

summer 11

Bismillah,

It almost a month my summer break has started. Lot of things have happened.

As for now, I'll spend lot of my time in Manchester with my 'brothers' and since i have nothing else to do, might as well update this blog frequently.

Till this time, I have to say my holiday is quite good. I have finisned read TWO really good books. Both written by Mitch Albom, Tuesday with Morrie and For one more day. I really recommend you guys to read these two books, totally worth it. The next book to be read still undecided but it might be books from Tariq Ramadhan, Following the footstep of prophet(something like that).

Sorry for the babbling. I just too bored right now and I'm not really in the mood to talk about the awesomeness of STCUK (summer camp). Anyway I think this blog will be loaded with entries after this. Till next time.
